Well, the financial times this morning revealed that Tesla is now arguing that Nikola has no rights to sue Tesla over the semi truck design because Nikola didn’t even come up with the designs. Instead, Nikola bought the designs from Adriano Mudri, a designer from Croatia for a few thousand dollars. And the semi truck was actually named “road runner” - which is kind of hilarious because Tesla is now naming their new battery production after the Road Runner. And that Trevor Milton bought the plans in 2015. And claimed that he designed them instead. And then further claims that Nikola spent several million dollars developing the Nikola one, the truck that rolled down the hill. Yet, Trevor Milton never told the US patent and trademark office that Trevor had bought the design for the semi truck - that it wasn’t even his own. This latest comes at another blow to Nikola - helping reiterate that almost everything Nikola has done has either been a copy or a fraud. This is preceded by: Hinderberg research paper (by a short-seller) exposed Nikola for potential fraud - but it's common to see short-sellers bag on a stock so that the price falls. Well, today Nikola released its press release and admits to fraud by deceiving viewers with an imposter truck. Nikola just gave General Motors an 11% stake in Nikola to partner with them on the production of the Badger pickup truck and parts for Nikola’s semi truck. The deal was valued at $2b dollars setting Nikola’s market cap based on this value at 18b, which shares quickly reacted to shares of Nikola skyrocketed 39%, as much as 50% intraday, closing at $50.05 per share.
