STORYLINE
Pakistani migrants and asylum-seekers held a protest on the Greek island of Lesbos against deportation back to Turkey.
Demonstrators held up signs and chanted slogans, urging authorities to allow them to continue into Europe, during Wednesday's protest.
More than 400 Pakistanis are stuck on the island as they try to navigate a safe passage into Europe.
The Greek police have arrested a number of Pakistanis and according to authorities more than 300 economic migrants have been pushed back to Turkey in the last week.
The push-backs are part of the recently-announced deal between Turkey and the European Union that will be finalised on Thursday 17 March.
Even though Pakistanis are a small fraction of the migration flows, they are categorised by the EU as economic migrants and therefore not eligible for refugee status.
On Lesbos, Pakistanis are staying at a makeshift camp organised by volunteers next to the Moria Registration Centre and Camp for refugees.
