| Video Discription | Old Fashioned Apple Butter - 100 Year Old Recipe - SIMPOT is no longer available - In this video, I'll be making fresh apple butter and I'll be doing it in the kind of programmable Simpot that I'm giving away. Apple butter dates back to the middle ages. You can get the same rich flavor with this method without the intensive labor. I'm also giving away this 8 qt. Simpot on September 5, 2019. Simpot is no longer available. Any programable pot, crockpot or pot on the stove can be used to cook the apple butter Ingredients for 8 pints of apple butter: 8 to 10 lbs. of apples 2 cups of brown sugar 2 cups of white sugar 1 cup of juice or water (I used apple cider) 2 teaspoons of vanilla 1 tablespoon of cinnamon 1 teaspoon of cloves 1 1/2 teaspoons of nutmeg 2 teaspoons of salt ***All spices will have to be adjusted to taste ***Blow that apple butter before you taste it fresh out of the pot.
