It excelled at running demanding titles at 4K resolution, and even today, it can handle most games at 1440 p and 4 K with high settings. It boasts 11 gigabytes of GDDR5 X VRAM, which is more than enough for handling large textures and complex scenes. Games like Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Assassin's Creed Valhalla can still be enjoyed at 60 frames per second or higher at 1440 p, showcasing the card's enduring prowess. The GTX 1080 does not support hardware-based ray tracing, a feature introduced with NVIDIA's RTX series. While ray tracing can significantly enhance the visual quality of games, the 1080 T i can still run ray-traced games, albeit at lower frame rates and with reduced ray-tracing effects. This means that titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Control will still be playable, although not at their full ray-traced potential. NVIDIA's Deep Learning Super Sampling, DLSS technology is another feature not supported by the GTX 1080 Ti.
