Situated in the Kandy Mahiyangana highway, 18 bends has got its attention for a long time. The recent renovations have made a smooth drive to the people who expect to travel in or out of Kandy, although it was a challenging one about a decade ago. The place is situated 62km far from Kandy town, which consumes about one and half hours to get there. The name in Sinhala, “Daha Ata Wanguwa,” means 18 bends literally. However, only 17 bends have remained after the road expansions conducted years back. |
