Directed by James Whale in 1937, the movie takes place in the immediate aftermath of world war 1 and recounts the frontline soldiers' difficulty in returning to a peacetime society. The film has never been released on DVD or Blu-ray and it has also disappeared for the internet archive. That's why I'm uploading it here for all those who are interested in the this obscure picture and/or the Weimar era Germany that it depicts. |
