| Video Discription | A couple of days ago I went out to shoot some footage at TIFF, better known as the Toronto International Film Festival. And I thought this would be a great opportunity to lure people in that don't usually listen to my videos with the promise of celebrity footage of stars walking the red carpet and instead teach them about MGTOW. MGTOW stands for men going their own way and it's a growing cultural movement that promotes the idea that men shouldn't get married or into long term relationships. For my regular viewers and listeners you know I'm going to talk about my observations at the film festival and how they relate to MGTOW. MGTOW is about men claiming self ownership by choosing not to marry or get into long term relationships so we don't have to support women financially or emotionally. We are not emotional tampons for women to dump their verbal diarrhea on, nor are we cash machines or repair men. So today I'm going to talk about the gender differences that I saw happening before my eyes at the Toronto Film Festival. And the first place I'd like to start is the fact that the majority of people wandering the streets of downtown Toronto trying to see a celebrity or take a picture of a celebrity were about seventy percent women, twenty-eight percent manginas and two percent professionals like camera men, sound and lighting crews and reporters. I went down there with two professional cameras in hand and was more interested in observing the behavior of people hanging around trying to spot stars and feed their own inner narcissism. The women in this photograph wanted probably just wanted to get a great photo of themselves looking and feeling great in the same spot that celebrities get their pictures taken. The reason people are obsessed with celebrities is because if they are close to them they are hoping that some of that magic can rub off on them. They want to feel important and special and the ultimate way a narcissist gets their narcissistic supply is when other people pay attention to them. What greater way to feed your narcissism then by having it fed by a celebrity or star? And more women then men tend to have narcissistic personality disorders and that's why you see so many women out trying to get glimpse or a photo with a celebrity. And like I said about seventy percent of the people walking the streets and lining up to see the films at the film festival were women. I was walking around with my cameras and women were constantly walking up to me and asking me who was going to be showing up, was I going to be taking their picture and if I could get them in behind the barricade. I'm not a member of the press core and didn't pay the seven hundred and fifty dollars required for a full media pass. All I did was wander around and observe people and see what they were doing and what they were talking about. |
