| Video Discription | On the evening of July 29, 2021 a powerful weather system blew through the Long Beach Island area. At about 9pm a tornado ripped through the High Bar Harbor section of Barnegat Light. For the most part it came in from the west, right at the HBH Park, down Arnold Ave and then towards the High Bar Harbor Yacht Club. Roofs and siding were damaged, trees down, docks ripped up, boats overturned and lawn furniture everywhere. Currently at the time of this post 3am, it’s a mess and the area is closed. *Update 10am 7/30/21: Some access is opened up however some areas of HBH are still closed. Crews were working all through the night to get things cleaned up and repaired. |
