| Video Discription | I spend a week with the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning XLT with the Extended Range Battery to see what it's like to live with. I also compare the trim levels to guide you through the best value versions of the Lightning. It drives great and its familiar feeling will make it an easy transition for current truck owners wanting to try an electric vehicle, buyers will have to make sure they get the right trim if they want the Lightning to be a good value. This XLT with the Extended Range battery costs nearly $84,000 for 2023, which is crazy for a pickup truck with cloth seats and cheap trim. If you get the right trim though (or are willing to live with the small battery pack) then the Lightning is a great value that basically matches the pricing of the gas version. Overall, keeping the Lightning very close to other F-150s was a brilliant move for those that want an EV in a familiar package. What do you think about the Lightning?
