It's an adventure-focused 'large' SUV that's zeroing in on the new Ford Everest, updated Isuzu MU-X and soon-to-be-replaced Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. So that it can be taken seriously, the six-seat Scorpio has a tough body-on-frame, ladder-frame chassis and a versatile four-wheel-drive (4WD) system that should imbue it with genuine off-road chops. And these off-road credentials are helped by its 129kW/400Nm turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine.
