A systematic trader is someone who uses computer programs to make decisions about buying and selling in financial markets, like stocks or currencies. Instead of relying on emotions or instincts, they follow predefined rules or algorithms to execute trades automatically. But what is the difference between a discretionary trader and systematic trader? A discretionary trader makes decisions based on their own judgement and feelings about the market. They might rely on intuition and experience to buy or sell assets. On the other hand, a systematic trader uses pre-defined rules and algorithms to make trading decisions. They follow a set strategy or program, often using computer software to analyse data and execute trades automatically. Then we discussed Do systematic traders view their system as invincible? If you're using a strategy in systematic trading and it's been making profit all year but suddenly faces a loss, don't abandon it right away. One beauty of systematic trading is the compounding system, where you can scale up. Just because there's a loss once doesn't mean the strategy is no good.
