Throughout his life, he initiated and advanced many movements and reforms for the upliftment of the downtrodden, and those discriminated on the basis of their castes or gender. He also sought to bring about massive changes in the social, political, and economic landscapes that would carry India toward a more egalitarian and just nation. Even today, Babasaheb Ambedkar is seen as a beacon of light for India’s minorities.
