| Video Discription | Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) is the statutory authority in charge of the waterways in India. It was constituted under IWAI Act-1985 by the Parliament of India. It is the cheapest form of transportation. During an interaction at a stakeholder conference held on monday, CM Rio joined Sonowal to announce development of Tizu Zunki, National Waterways 101 as both the IWAI and the transport department of Nagaland to work together to study for navigation feasibility. The IWAI will provide technical assistance to the transport department for the development of NW 101 for navigation. Rio & Sonowal also announced initiatives to develop the immense tourism potential of Doyang River lake with community jetties as well as study the feasibility and establishment of ship ports in Nagaland. .
