Iran's sole reformist candidate Masoud Pezeshkian will face the ultraconservative Saeed Jalili in a runoff. According to the Iranian elections authority, Pezeshkian secured 42.4 per cent of the votes while Jalili came second with 38.6 per cent votes. The officials said, "None of the candidates gained an absolute majority of the votes."
