The name was picked on Monday (February 7) ahead of the IPL auction this weekend. Ahmedabad Titans will be led by India all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Earlier, the other new team in IPL 2022 Lucknow had adopted the name Super Giants. The CVC Capitals are the owners of the Ahmedabad Titans team Ahmedabad Titans set to be the official name of CVC Capital owned new IPL franchise Hardik Pandya has been announced as captain of the franchise. IPL 2022 is all set to welcome two new teams, all the focus has been on them in last few days. One one side, RPSG Group owned franchise have been quite active as they announced their franchise name as Lucknow Super Giants few days back. However, there had been no information yet from the camp of other franchise, which was bought by CVC Capital. Hardik Pandya has been announced as captain of the team based in Ahmedabad, with Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill as the other two draft picks. While Aashish Nehra is set to be the head coach of the team, Gary Kirsten has been roped in as mentor (batting coach) and Vikram Solanki as the Director of Cricket. And now, the team finally has a name as well! It must be noted that Ahmedabad Titans has been revealed as the name of new franchise.
