| Video Discription | A wonderful Great Performances movie that doesn't appear to be available anywhere, anymore! It first aried Feb 13, 1987, stars Alec Guiness and Graham Greene, directed by Rodney Bennett, and is one of my favorites. Sir Guinness hated being known for his role as Obe Wan in the Star Wars movies. Here's one more chance to know him for another of his stellar roles. I recorded this on a VCR back in 1987. It lay in a drawer for decades, before I found it, and digitized it using an old VCR that was barely working. Sorry about the poor quality, but the immaculate performances shine through! |
