| Video Discription | This is the fourth video in our series from the Oklahoma Association of Elementary School Principals 2022 Leadership Conference. In this video, Flower Mound Superintendent Dax Trent describes Alpha Plus’s road map for improvement. Superintendent Trent describes the effective materials Alpha Plus Educational Systems provides to create this road map. He said, "My teachers dominated during COVID because they knew what they needed to do." He discusses ways Alpha Plus curriculum makes his teacher's jobs easier, more efficient, and more effective. Superintendent Trent shares that the Alpha Plus curriculum matches the Oklahoma Academic Standards (OAS). These standards are changed and updated by the state frequently. Oklahoma educators need curriculum that aligns to the standards being used TODAY. Nationally written textbooks and interim assessments do not match nor are they updated as often. As such, Alpha Plus helps Flower Mound Elementary achieve “Success with OAS.” CEO Jan Barrick and Mr. Trent further discuss how being an “A School” for the last six years has impacted economic development in the Comanche County community. After their first year with Alpha Plus, Flower Mound was named a National Blue Ribbon School in 2015.
