| Video Discription | This bike ride takes us once around the Alster (Außenalster) in Hamburg on a sunny Friday afternoon in the summer (in the time of COVID-19). Despite the restrictions, you can see a lot of people who couldn’t resist going for a walk or bike ride in this beautiful weather. However, most people kept their distance as required. The Alster lake is right in the middle of the city of Hamburg, in between the city centre and the Uhlenhorst and Harvesthude neighbourhoods. There are plenty of bars and cafes as well as boat and rowing clubs. It’s definitely a more middle-upper class neighbourhood, but the Alster and the park are equally loved and frequented by all kinds of people.
