| Video Discription | Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu continues being vocal on the development of the state’s sole capital - Amaravati. So much so that a day before taking oath as the chief minister, he had declared Amaravati to be the capital of Andhra Pradesh. And today, on July 3rd, Naidu released a white paper on Amaravati. In other news, Naidu also sought a meeting with his Telangana counterpart Revanth Reddy on July 6th to address issues arising out of the bifurcation of the state. While releasing the white paper, Naidu hammered down on the state of affairs during the previous government, led by YSRCP's Jagan Mohan Reddy. He criticised the previous government for creating destruction and reducing Amaravati to a ghost capital. He pointed out that Jagan Mohan Reddy was initially in favour of the idea of a centrally located capital, but he later changed his stance. But again, Naidu did not leave an opportunity to speak highly about the state capital. He dwelled in the history of Amaravati and revealed that the decision to name the capital took place after it was unanimously accepted by the cabinet. He also talked about the strategic location of Amaravati, mentioning that it is the most equidistant region in the state and a crucial factor for the future development of Andhra Pradesh. Naidu, the state's chief minister thanked and highlighted the contributions made by the farmers who gave up their land - via the land pooling system - for the ambitious capital project. The aim of releasing the white papers, as per the government - was to bring the wrong-doings of the previous government to light. But that is not all. Naidu also expressed concern that since there are not enough opportunities in the state, students have been migrating. He mentioned that the government will create further employment opportunities. Remember, Naidu had chaired the first cabinet meeting on June 12th. And in the run-up to this meeting - which was held in the Guntur district - Chief Secretary Neerabh Prasad had issued a circular, directing all departments to submit their agenda. And remember, one of the key topics of discussion that was anticipated for the meeting was the release of white papers on various sectors like agriculture, finance, and irrigation. As Naidu keeps on bringing the Amaravati development project to the foray, the phased work on the capital city project has restarted. .............................................................................................
