| Video Discription | For a very long time, I wanted to sing a heavy carnatic song and here is it is - Jamboopathe Maam pahi in the ragam yamuna kalyani set to roopaka talam. It is composed by Shri Muthuswamy Deekshitar on Lord Shiva who is in the form of water in a temple in Thiruvanaikaval in Tiruchirapalli district. The main deity is Shri Akilandeshwari and the Lord here is Jamboopathe. It is one of the panchabootha linga stalam (5 elements of the universe) and it is said that the Lord is underwater and you can touch the water underground even today. It's a beautiful composition praying to protect us and give us the knowledge of nectar of true bliss. |
