| Video Discription | 2019 has been declared the International Year of the Periodic Table (IYPT 2019) by the United Nations, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the creation of the periodic table of chemical elements. In this fifth chapter of Animated Science, we see the main character meeting, for the first time, the periodic table, the elements and chemistry. After a difficult beginning and thanks to the teacher’s explanations and his own thinking, the character understand there are different atoms and that everything is built up by atoms and their combinations. The Animated Science project is organized by the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+i) of the University of Barcelona and funded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) – Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. |
