| Video Discription | Here's the recipe you've been searching for if you love Sweet Pickled Onions! These are great on or in salads, sandwiches, pitas, hot dogs and, frankly, right out of the jar as a snack! 1 large sweet onion, sliced (I used Maui Sweet Onion here but use any sweet onion you like) 1 cup water 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar 1/4 cup white vinegar (or try white balsamic or rice vinegar) 3 tablespoons granulated sugar 2 teaspoons kosher salt 1 tablespoon mixed whole pepper corns 1 squeeze of lemon juice (1-2 teaspoons) Place everything except the onions in a jar or bowl - shake or stir until sugar and salt are dissolved. Add onion slices. Shake again. You can eat now or place in refrigerator for an hour or two. This will stay fresh in your fridge for 5-7 days. Thanks for watching. Mary |
