A medical bulletin released by the hospital in the early hours of Friday said:The medical bulletin released by the hospital on Friday afternoon stated that the Chief Minister no longer has fever and is on a normal diet. They, however, added that she is under observation.Rumours and reports of Jayalalitha’s ill health have been doing rounds for several months. She even filed a defamation case against web portal rediff.com for its article, “Chennai media knew Jayalalithaa’s health is not fine, but kept mum.” As she continues to be in hospital, the news of her flying to Singapore for treatment is also doing the rounds on Twitter and a few news channels are flashing the same. A prominent Twitter handle says she may be flying as early as Saturday evening. However, speaking to ANI, AIADMK spokesperson and actress CR Saraswathi said, “the news is false, Amma is very well. Her fever has come down.” Meanwhile, Amma supporters have camped outside hospital, praying for her recovery. On Friday, at the gathering outside the hospital, party workers claimed that they had never seen their leader unwell or being admitted to the hospital.
