It was instituted by Mystic Wealth, which is a SEBI registered Investment advisory operating since 2011, doing factor investing in Indian Stock Markets. The founder-partner of Mystic Wealth Manish Dhawan has keen interest in chess and he decided to use these funds to power the career of a chess player. This scholarship of Rs.1,50,000 divided into 12 months, which comes to a monthly amount of Rs.12,500 is won by WIM Arpita Mukherjee. Arpita is one of India's rising chess stars. She is 21 years old and has already reached an Elo of 2238. Her aim is to become a full-fledged GM. She hopes that this amount will help her in her ambition of becoming a stronger player by funding her training and travel to tournaments outside India.
