| Video Discription | This short film is based on sweepers. There is one sweeper named Kamble who works in Municipal Corporation. One day there is a news in a news paper that Kamble is going to be awarde by the Prime Minister of india for his good work under "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan". He will be awarded on "Gandhi Jayanti" on 2nd october in Delhi. Suddenly, Kamble becomes famous through this news. Kamlbe shows news paper to every one and becomes talk of the town. Although Kamble is going to get award by the Prime Minister but no one appreciate him. Everyone makes fun of him, teases him and demeans him. One day Kamble was sleeping in garbage on the road suddenly he hears voice of his son who is trying to wake him up. Kamble is totally drunk this time. His son wakes him up. Kamble asks his son whether he has seen his photograph in News paper or not. His son says there is no news as such in the paper about him rather he has been fired from the job because he was found drunk and sleeping in garbage on duty. Here we reveal that whatever has happened in the film so far was a dream of Kamble. Actually all it has happened in Kamble' s dream. Here the dream ends and reality of his life starts, Kamble is very poor man he has wife and a 7 year old boy. Since kamble all the time works to clean the drainages, gutters, sewer and roads those smell badly so lessen the foul smell of the garbage he drinks before starting the work everyday and his work starts early in the morning at 5. Even many people come to Kamble's house to take him for cleaning the sewers and if he is not at home so they take his 7 year old son to do the work. We have showed in this film the sweepers' difficult lives through Kamble. Even though their lives are very difficult then also they try to live happily. All the sweepers work all the time in very unhealthy conditions. They get ill very easily and many of them died. Many of them get injured on duty and they are bound to live with the u u u parmanent injuries. We urge to our society not to litter on the roads. we should also take care of our nation and all the sweepers must be taken care who work to clean our surroundings and to keep clean our Nation. |
