Join us: https://bit.ly/3Rz1uCH The Election Commission of India on March 16 announced the dates for the Lok Sabha and legislative assembly elections for Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that polling for the 60-seat Arunachal Pradesh and 32-seat Sikkim Legislative Assembly election will be held on April 19. Counting of votes for both the states will be held on June 2. He also announced that polling for the 543-seat Lok Sabha election will be held in 7 phases and the dates are 19 April, 26 April, 7 May, 13 May, 20 May, 25 May and 1 June. Voting in Arunachal Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Sikkim will be held in Phase 1 i.e. April 19 whereas polling for the Lok Sabha election in Tripura and Manipur will be completed in 2 phases i.e April 19 and 26 . Meanwhile polling in Assam will completed in 3 phases i.e. April 19, April 26 and May 7.
