In a December 2022 interview with Collider, producer Jon Landau revealed that the team has already shot "95%" of Avatar 3 and parts of Avatar 4. Still, Cameron pointed out that he's still making changes to the third movie in a January 2023 interview on the Soundtracking with Edith Bowman podcast.
