In this video I go through 5 things to avoid when quitting drugs, be it smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol, smoking weed, cocaine or any other drugs. 1. I recommend to avoid under-sleeping, due to the reason that it dramatically affects our brain function. Addiction urges becomes stronger when we are under-slept. So keep this in mind. 2. Avoid Junk food if you want to make your quitting drugs successful. Our diet also has a very important role on our brain function, therefore keeping a healthy diet is crucial when quitting drugs of your choice. 3. Avoid isolating from people, which actually means to get outside and start interacting with people. Meet new people. (Do not go to parties, as it might trigger to use drugs). Also keep in mind that meeting people who you shared drugs with in your past is not a good idea. Socialize with new people. 4. Do not overthink. This is mostly related to negative thinking but when we are trying to quit drugs, thoughts will bombard us. District yourself or meditate. Okay this 5th tip is a bit strange but needs to be mentioned here. Do not use the drug itself. I mean many times we have the urge to do it only once. Just "one" cigarette, just one "glass", just one "line". Keep in mind that there is no way someone can quit and still use just one time. So please avoid the drug itself at all costs. And as a bonus tip I included - avoiding stress. When you are trying to quit drugs, do not put yourself in high stress situations. If you can manage take holidays.
