The court questioned the state regarding certain copies that weren’t provided by the latter. State officials said agreed that some copies were missing that’s why no discharge application was moved in the court. Order sheet has been signed, date of next hearing will be informed later,” said Advocate Kaleem Rehman, Azam Khan’s lawyer. The leader and MLA from Rampur, has been serving a sentence in Sitapur Jail for the past 28 months. Azam Khan has a total of 88 cases registered against him, out of which he has been granted bail in 87 cases. A fresh case was registered against Khan for submitting a forged building certificate to obtain recognition for the Rampur Public School. Khan is the Chairman of this school. The new charge was even questioned by the Supreme Court of India.
