| Video Discription | Construction of the Barapullah Phase 3 elevated corridor is likely to gain pace as Delhi government is in the final stages of acquiring land required for the project. The Public Works Department (PWD) has been waiting for the land to construct the 3.5km stretch from Sarai Kale Khan to Mayur Vihar-I, which will give a signal-free ride from east Delhi to AIIMS. The last date of written submission regarding the project is January 20, after which the final acquisition of the land will be complete,” said Vishwendra, district magistrate, South East district, who is overseeing the land acquisition process. Last September, Delhi government had issued a notification for around 8.5 acres acquired on the Yamuna riverbank. The last date for hearing objections regarding this land was January 5, when the district authorities met the land owners. Another 15 days were given for written submission by 25 people who were a part of the hearing. This deadline ends on January 20.
