| Video Discription | Sony cameras are known for being excellent in low light, and the a7R V is no exception to this. However, one of the primary reasons this is true is because cameras like the Sony a7R V contain a dual ISO system that allows the camera to produce a clean image at both a low/base ISO, and a high ISO value as well. And while this system operates similarly to other Sony cameras with similar dual ISO setups like the a7 IV, the a7S III/FX3 and more, the dual ISO values in the a7R V and the overall difference between these low and high values is completely different. In this technical tutorial video, I'll go over how to find both the base ISO and high ISO values in the a7R V, showing two different ways you can determine the high ISO based on its low ISO value. We'll discuss what these values are for the most common/popular picture profiles such as S-Cinetone (PP11), S-Log3 and S-Gamut3.Cine (PP8), and the Still/Photo gamma (PP2/Off), given the a7R V is a stills-oriented camera. However, beyond the technical specifics of the dual ISO system, I'll also cover two important points that are vital to working with ISO in the a7R V. This includes the actual practical ISO values you can expect to get usable results with, even if not utilizing the base or high ISO. Additionally, this also includes other cameras in the Sony ecosystem that utilize this same dual ISO system such as the a6700, FX30, and the a7C R.
