It starts with five clowns, each of whom gets a share of the loot. They suggested a sixth member of the gang - nicknamed "The Clown" - who made the plan but was not involved in the robbery was not worth the cut. As the heist continues, the clowns start killing each other for more damage, until a school bus crashes through the bank's fence, killing another clown. A gangster bank executive who was shot himself with an automatic weapon after trying to take out a clown with a shotgun told the rest of the clowns he had no idea who he was dealing with. The clown knelt down and told the banker, "I believe what doesn't kill you is you... strangers..." and then removed his mask, revealing that he was the clown himself. The clown shoves a grenade into the banker's mouth before boarding the bus, leaving a string on the needle. The bus pulls out with all the cash in the bank, and the pin pops out. It's just a gas grenade. Joker joins a long line of school buses leaving the crime scene when the police arrive. Then see Gotham City at night, with criminals terrified of committing crimes under the watchful signs of bat signals projected onto the clouds. We see the lieutenant. James Gordon directs the Bat Signal and waits with Det for Batman. Anna Ramirez asked if he would come. Gordon explained that it was okay if he wasn't there, and wanted him to work elsewhere.
