Battery Management System is an electronic system that monitors and controls rechargeable battery to make sure that it operates safely and efficiently. BMS monitors each cell of battery pack for current, voltage, temperature. It runs several control algorithms and produces outputs like State of Charge (SOC), State of Health (SOH), Information related to Thermal Management and Power Management. BMS also communicates the information with other ECUs and displays the important parameters. Some of the key responsibilities of BMS are: 1. Cell Monitoring 2. Power Management 3.
