How do you record photographs of your patients. Well, it's really important certainly that you get the pre-treatment photograph because you only get one chance to get that photograph before your patients had any treatments. So the keys are, we talk about this a lot on the courses, but the keys to photography are; use the same lighting every time because the face looks very different under different exposures so you'll often see in before and after photos that the after is over exposed, so there's more light. Shadows and ageing tend to be shown less in more light so that's a slight cheat that some people use in their before and after photos, so you need to use the same lighting, you need to use the same camera and you need to be the same distance away from your patients. You've got standardised appearance and ideally standardised background. What's really important as well is you stand far enough away from your patients so it's better to stand further away than closer up because the closer you go the more distortion you get of the face and if your further away you could always crop the picture in so modern cameras are really really accurate they have lots and lots of mega pixels so there is no problem about going further away less distortion and then cropping in so we'll talk about the type of camera you use and a bit more about how to attain really good reliable shots that are consistent at our courses and again really really important to look at your photography and get good accurate photographs. |
