The largest Olympic Village became fully operational on November 9, 2021, and will officially open to guests on January 27. The other two will open soon in the northwestern Yanqing District and in the co-host city of Zhangjiakou in neighbouring Hebei province. The Beijing Winter Olympic Village consists of 20 residential buildings and was built following a green design philosophy to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. It will serve as an apartment complex after the Games, which will run February 4-20, 2022.
