| Video Discription | This time lapse video was taken over 12 hours in the main central rotunda (or "Mercaz") of the newly built Congregation Beth David in Saratoga California. The project was designed by WK Design Group Architects of San Francisco, and completed in late 2016. The Mercaz includes multiple design features including art glass panels depicting Jewish "Heroes" from biblical to modern times. Prisms in the skylight cast rainbows across the interior of the "cone" and the walls and floors, to provide delight for children in the space. They appear randomly at different times. This space is the centerpiece of a $9MM renovation and addition to the synagogue. |
