Bhagyaraj and produced by Meena Panchu Arunachalam. The film stars Bhagyaraj, Aishwarya, Manorama and Kalyan Kumar in lead roles. The film was a super hit at the box office. It was remade in Hindi as Raja Babu with Govinda, in Telugu as Abbayigari Pelli with Suman and in Kannada as Patela with Jaggesh.[1][2] கதைச்சுருக்கம் ராசுக்குட்டி கிராமத்தில் பணக்கார பண்ணையாரின் மகன். செல்லமாக வளர்க்கப்பட்டதால் படிக்காமல் வேலை செய்யாமல் நண்பர்களுடன் ஊர் சுற்றி, சீட்டு ஆடித் திரிகிறார். வித விதமான உத்தியோம் செய்வது போல அதாவது மருத்துவராக, காவல் துறை அதிகாரியாக, இராணுவ வீரராக, இப்படி பல வேடங்களில் புகைப்படம் எடுத்து வீட்டில் மாட்டி வைத்திருப்பார். பின்னர் ஒரு நாள் தான் பண்ணையாருக்கு பிறந்த மகன் அல்ல. தத்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட பிள்ளை என்று தெரிய வந்து சொத்துக்களை துறக்கிறார். பள்ளிக்கூடம் சென்று படிக்காத ராசுக்குட்டி நன்கு படித்த பெண்ணின் மீது காதல் கொள்கிறார். அப்பெண் விவசாயத்தில் பட்டப்படிப்பு முடித்தவர். ராசுக்குட்டியின் வழக்கறிஞர் புகைப்படத்தைப் பார்த்து நன்கு படித்தவர் என்று திருமணத்திற்கு ஒத்துக்கொள்கிறார். பின்னர் அவர் படிக்காதவர் என்று தெரிந்துவிடுகிறது. படப்பிடிப்பு இப்படத்திற்கான படப்படிப்பு மேட்டூரில் நடந்தப்பட்டது.[3] படபிடிப்பின் பொழுது யாரோ அங்கு பாம்பு உள்ளது என்று கூறிய பொழது பயத்தில் ஐஸ்வர்யா உடனே பாக்யராஜின் காலை இடறி ஒரு நாற்காலியில் ஏறு நின்று கொண்டதாகக் கூறினார். மேலும் பாக்யராஜ் படபிடிப்பு தளத்தில் மிகவும் தீவிரமானவர் என்றும், யாருடனும் தேவையில்லாமல் பேச மாட்டார் என்றும் படப்படிப்பு தளத்திற்கு வந்தவுடன் வசனங்களை எழுதி பின்னர் அனைவருக்கும் நடிப்பு சொல்லிக்கொடுப்பார் என்றும் ஐஸ்வர்யா ஒரு பேச்சில் கூறினார்.
