| Video Discription | Rare Footage Of The First Show Of The Wailers Live In Zimbabwe In 1980. The show ended midway through ‘I Shot The Sheriff’, when inmates at a nearby war prison escaped and flattened the stadium gates to get in. The police began to use tear gas in order to retreat the escapees, however, strong winds on the night, blew the tear gas back into the stadium and onto the stage. It is widely reported that when this happened, Bob continued performing, amidst all the chaos and lack of a band. I’m 80% sure that the duration of this first show was taped, like many others on the Uprising tour. I do not own the rights to this content, neither do i gain from sharing it. |
