| Video Discription | In this episode of BOFTA Masterclass, Director R. Kannan talks about his movies and his process of making a picture. Director Kannan talks about his scripting of a movie and how he builds up a narrative structure. He says that he doesn't like to write the shots down as he can do it while shooting. He says that remaking a movie is also a very difficult process and he has done two remakes in Tamil. He says that remaking 'Arjun Reddy' is going to be the most difficult task. He also talks about his tight schedules and how he did 2 songs in 2 days. He says that he doesn't like prompting on sets as it looks artificial. Kannan made his debut with 'Jayamkondaan' winning the hearts of critics and audience alike. He soon started his work on his second film, Kanden Kadhalai, a remake of Imtiaz Ali's 'Jab We Met' was also successful commercially. His subsequent releases like Vanthaan Vendraan, a remake of Delhi Belly in Tamil as Settai, Oru Oorla Rendu Raja & his latest flick Ivan Thanthiran were all received well.
