| Video Discription | Braeburn Schools are among the learning institutions in the country that have adopted solar energy solutions to supplement their grid consumption. The school has installed grid-tie solutions at its Braeburn Imani Campus in Thika and Nanyuki Campus. Both installations are expected to save over 30 per cent of their annual power costs. Joanna Garner, Primary Education Manager at the school, says that the adoption of solar energy is causing a feel-good effect among students and parents; seen as the institution’s effort to walk the talk; adopting renewable energy as taught by curriculum offered to the students. Chloride Solar - a subsidiary of Chloride Exide, is the company that Braeburn chose for these projects, has in recent years installed mega solar-powered systems for corporates such as Mitchell Cotts, KCB Bank, Wildfire Flowers and Karirana Tea Estates. |
