| Video Discription | AVM is arteriovenous malformation. It is depending on the location of the AVM, the patients present with headache, bleeding or it can be similar to a stroke. We diagnose AVM’s by use of CT angiography or MR angiography. If we have high suspicion of arteriovenous malformations which are not seen on CT angiography or MR angiography, we do what is called as DSA. DSA is digital subtraction angiography, which is done by a cath lab using a catheter. We go into the intracranial digital subtraction angiography, vessel with a contrast, we take a shoot to confirm the location of these arteriovenous malformation. |
