| Video Discription | The Treasury Department announced that the State of Ohio will be receiving $77.5 billion from the Capital Projects Fund (CPF) to bring broadband to 15,000 unserved locations in the state. The funds will be allocated through grants managed by the Ohio Residential Broadband Expansion Grant Program (ORBEG). The CPF is part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), and makes available $10 billion to states for "critical capital projects that enable work, education, and health monitoring." Many states have used all or most of their CPF funds to deploy broadband infrastructure. An additional $85 billion will be used by Ohio to fund construction of multi-purpose facilities designed to increase access to education, community health services, and workforce development opportunities. The two initiatives represent 61% of the CPF funds available to Ohio.
