| Video Discription | Are you looking for the best budget camera rig for filmmakers? Well, this could be the one! In this video, we'll break down this cinema camera rig that costs under $1,000! Let's get into it! To start off the video, we begin with the camera. For this build I chose to use the Canon SL2. This camera came out back in 2017, but it's still a great option for budget filmmaking. After the camera, we then move into the microphone. My budget choice for a microphone is the Boya BY-MM1. This microphone is very similar to the Rode VideoMicro, but is a little cheaper, which makes it perfect for this budget camera rig! Next, is the lens. The lens I used for this rig was the Canon 50mm f/1.8. It only costs around $125 and is still very high quality. Along with that, the aperture of f/1.8 makes it perfect for cinematography by allowing for a blurry background. The fourth and fifth pieces of gear for this budget cinema camera rig is the ND filter and step up ring. A great affordable option for an ND filter is the K&F Concept 82mm ND8-ND128. It's only about $79, but still feels like a high quality professional filter. Along with that is the step up ring, which is the Ice 49mm to 82mm. And finally, this cinema rig wouldn't be complete without the camera cage. This thing is called the Camvate Camera Cage and it costs about $81. It's extremely rugged and durable and at this price makes complete sense for this budget camera rig. There is one last piece of equipment which is the tripod, but I don't recommend the one in this video. It's called the Sunpak TravelLite Pro, but it's designed for photography, not filmmakers. So, you're better off finding a more reliable one.
