Heck - one stock doesn't even pay me a dividend. It was from a spin-off, losing almost all of their value / market capitalization since the spin-off. The other stock cut their dividend last year and has struggled to find a suitor to acquire them. Both stocks I am looking to sell are in the same industry - entertainment, lovely. When you are cleaning up your dividend stock portfolio, you should make sure what it may look like tax-wise if you were to sell your stock. In my case, I have long=term capital gains to offset with long=term capital losses. One stock would definitely cover it. The other stock would go way over what is needed. In speaking of exiting stocks, you should do so under a few circumstances for investors: - The stock doesn't fit your goal or strategy anymore - The stock is too overvalued - The stock changes its behavior / how they are run fundamentally After watching this video, would you sell the two stocks?
