If you wish to shop for these products head to the link below and use the CODE: NEHALKARKERA and get a 5% off on your purchase . https://stahlkitchens.com/?ref=NehalKarkera Pressure Cooker Chicken Biryani Ingredients For the rice 1 1/4 cup Basmati Rice (washed and soaked for 7-8 mins) 1 litre of water 2 cloves Few mint leaves 1 bay leaf 1 green cardamom For the chciken marination 500-600 gm Chicken curry cut 1 cup yogurt/Dahi 1 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste 2 1/2 tsp biryani masala 1 1/2 tsp Kashmiri chilli woofer 1 1/2 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp cumin powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder Salt to taste 2 tbsp chopped coriander 10-12 mint leaves 4-5 tbsp fried onions 1 tbsp ghee Othe ingredients 1 tbsp ghee 1 1/2 tbsp oil Whole spices (1 tsp pepper corns, 1 dried red chillies, green cardamom, 2 cloves, 1 bay leaf) 1/4 cup water for cooking the chicken 3/4 cup fried onions 1/2 cup chopped onions 1/2 cup mint leaves 1/2 saffron Milk 1 tbsp roast water Salt as required Method 1. Wash the rice and soak for 7-8 mins. 2. While the rice is soaking marinade the chicken with all the given ingredients and keep aside for 15-20 mins. 3. Now while the chicken is marinating let’s cook the rice, bring the water with all the spices, mint and ghee to a rolling boil and add the strained rice. 4. Cook for 4-5 mins till the rice is 50% cooked and then strain it out and spread the rice on a flat surface to let it cool faster. 5. Now in a pressure cooker, heat ghee along with the whole spice and fry for 2 mins, next add the chickens & fry for another 2 mins. 6. Now add some water and cover with a lid, don’t pressure cook just cover it lightly with a lid and let it cook for 5-6 mins. 7. Now remove half of the chicken with some of the gravy and start the layering of the biryani. 8. We start with the reserved chicken in the cooker, top with the cooked rice, then mint, coriander, fried onions a saffron milk, repeat this layer again & finally sprinkle with some rose water. 9. Now place the lid and seal it shut, on median heat let the pressure build and go for just 1 whistle, once the whistle si don’t, release the pressure safely and keep it aside for 2 mins. 10.
