| Video Discription | A classic Chinese herbal sweet soup (tong sui) with snow fungus. It is a dairy-free, gluten-free and low-calorie (as long as you don't add too much sugar!) recipe. It is super-nutritious. There are many variations of this recipe which may have different ingredients. I decided to select three main herbal ingredients that are commonly used for their functions in aiding and improving sleep quality. These three ingredients are Lotus Seeds (莲子), Lily Bulbs (百合) and Longan Fruits (桂圆/龙眼). Another ingredient used is a White fungus (also called Snow Fungus or Silver Ear Mushroom (雪耳/银耳) which is often added to this dessert. Snow Fungus has recently been gaining a lot of attention in the West for its anti-aging effect.
