| Video Discription | Join the ICCE team in their Journey into the uncharted virgin depth of the Chinhoyi caves in Zimbabwe at 1200m of altitude. This is the first Phase of the exploration, mapping and study of the Chinhoyi sinkhole and cave system organized by expedition leader Glenn Campbell. Simon Nadim reached 191m depth after a 200m horizontal penetration into the unexplored realm of the cave. The total dive time was 7h40min. The target of the first phase was to determine the depth and length of the cave which start at 85mfw at the bottom of the sinkhole. It was also to establish the scope of work for mapping the system. The cave was huge and deep beyond expectation; our light beans did not reach the walls and ceiling of the cave during the big push! We managed to produce a 3D map that gives a general visual representation of the sinkhole and cave system but misses lots of details and measurement.
