Coming from New Zealand, they were keen to offset the emissions that their flights to Europe would cause and used the Climate Neutral Now mechanism under the UNFCCC to do so. They were so enthusiastic to contribute to climate action, that the UNFCCC made them young ambassadors for Climate Neutral Now. They have inspired thousands across Europe and the world and hope to continue acting when they get back to New Zealand. |
