| Video Discription | On April 10th, 2022, Clovis native Rusty Crow turns 101 years old. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946, then returned to the Central Valley, where he and his family have since remained. Rusty's love for roping tethers him to the history of the Clovis Rodeo, which predates him by just eight short years. When he was younger, Rusty was a team roping participant, won a few buckles, and became friends with famous rodeo clown (and actor) Wilber Plaugher. The Clovis Veterans Memorial District welcomes Rusty into the "Celebrating Our Local Heros" series to commemorate the legacy of service from Veterans in the Central Valley. |
