| Video Discription | Farm fresh! I picked up these York ship wheels and barbell the other day from a farm not too far from me. The barbell is a 1940s York split sleeve barbell with recessed knurling. The specific measurements and details of the barbell are below. The “ship wheel” spin lock collars are just as rusty as the bar and even have some chicken feathers on them! They are seized and missing one nub, but 11/12 nubs on older ship wheels like these is pretty good. The leather inserts are half missing and half really tough. So I plan to do a full restoration. I’ll remove the rust, replace the leather inserts, and hopefully get them spinning again. The single broken nub will stay broken unless one of my children sculpt me one out of their modeling clay. Barbell stats: Total Length of bar is 84” Hex set screw on end cap; Set screw on inner collar End cap is 3/4 an inch, beveled on outer portion, and screws onto threaded end of shaft Sleeve not including end cap is 16.5” and beveled on inner most end that meets the inner collar Inner collar is 1.75” and rounded on inner edge Shaft between inner collars is just under 46” Knurling is recessed and begins 1 3/8” from inner collar and extends 14” Center knurling also recessed and is 5” Knurling is small diamond snakeskin pattern Diameter of shaft is 28.5 mm on bare portions and about 27.75 mm on recessed knurl 👇Support the Channel by Using Links: 🙏 Shop for Anything on Amazon: https://amzn.to/40orjqq ⚖️ Are your weight plates accurate?
